Description

The integrated MSP430FR5739 features 16 KB of FRAM and 1 KB of SRAM for data storage, operates on a 16-bit RISC architecture with a clock speed of up to 8 MHz, and includes 2 Timer A blocks and 3 Timer B blocks for timing functions. It also incorporates a versatile USCI block supporting UART, SPI, IrDA, and I2C communication, a 16-channel 10-bit ADC12_B for precise analog measurements, a 16-channel Comp D for comparator functionality, and 32 I/Os for flexible connectivity. Additionally, it comes with a 3-axis accelerometer, NTC thermistor, 8 display LEDs, a footprint for an extra through-hole LDR sensor, and 2 user input switches. The MSP430FR5739 is compatible with the MSP-EXP430F5438 and most Wireless Daughter Cards (CCxxxx RF) for extended connectivity options.

The MSP-EXP430FR5739 board comes with a package that includes a Mini USB-B cable (0.5m), two male and two female 12-pin PCB connectors, and a quick start guide. Additionally, it includes a 32.768 kHz clock crystal, which can serve as the low-frequency XT oscillator. It’s worth noting that the crystal is optional for the user experience code and can be populated as needed based on specific requirements.
