Description

The Arduino Nano processor ATMEGA328P is a user-friendly and compact microcontroller board, known as Nano V3.0 (ATMEGA328P Development Board).  The board incorporates the CH340 chip, enabling USB to UART or USB to printer interfaces. CH340 facilitates easy upgrades of serial interface peripherals or adds an extra serial interface to the computer via the USB bus. Additionally, CH340 provides a standard MODEM liaison signal, allowing expansion of the computer’s UART interface or direct upgrade of standard serial devices to USB buses.

The Nano V3.0 has a similar structure to the Arduino Uno, but it is smaller and boasts additional Analog Input A6 and A7. Components are mounted on both sides of the PCB to achieve a compact design. The ATmega168 variant of the Nano offers 16 KB of flash memory (2 KB used for the bootloader), 1 KB of SRAM, and 512 bytes of EEPROM. On the other hand, the ATmega328 variant provides 32 KB of flash memory (with 2 KB reserved for the bootloader), 2 KB of SRAM, and 1 KB of EEPROM.

The board features 14 digital pins that can function as inputs or outputs using pinMode(), digitalWrite(), and digitalRead() functions. All pins operate at 5V and can handle a maximum current of 40 mA. Each pin also incorporates an internal pull-up resistor (disconnected by default) with a resistance range of 20-50 ohms.

The Arduino Nano is fully compatible with Arduino programs and the Arduino IDE, offering ease of development. Powering the board is flexible and can be achieved through the Mini-B USB connection, an unregulated external power supply of 6-20V (using pin 30), or a regulated 5V external power supply (using pin 27). The board automatically selects the highest voltage source as the power supply.
