Description

The ZigBee XBee Module Bluetooth Bee Shield V03 is a feature-rich module designed for wireless communication and connectivity. It is an interface between ZigBee XBee modules and Arduino-compatible microcontrollers, allowing seamless integration and control. The shield is ready to use, plug-and-play, without the XBee Module. The protection can be directly put on top of the Arduino Uno. It works with all Xbee modules, i.e., Series 1 and Series 2.5 Standard and Pro.

It is based on the Xbee module from MaxStream. The module can communicate up to 100 feet indoors or 300 feet outdoors (with line-of-sight). It can be used as a serial or USB replacement.  It also includes level shifters for easy integration with microcontrollers operating at different logic levels.

The ZigBee XBee Module Bluetooth Bee Shield V03 offers multiple communication interfaces, including UART, I2C, and SPI, allowing for easy connectivity with a wide range of devices. It also provides various configuration options, such as baud rate settings and communication modes, to suit different project requirements. The shields break out each of the Xbee’s pins into a through-hole solder pad. It also provides female pin headers for the use of digital pins 2 to 7 and analog inputs, which are covered by the shield (digital pins 8 to 13 are not obstructed by the shield, so you can use the headers on the board itself).

The module is equipped with indicator LEDs for visual feedback on power and communication status, simplifying troubleshooting and monitoring during operation. Additionally, it has a reset button for convenient module reset and initialization.
