Description
The MSP-EXP430G2 development board offers an easy-to-use, low-cost, and ultra-low-power solution featuring MSP430G2x MCUs. Designed for rapid prototyping and transitioning to a market-ready solution seamlessly, the device supports onboard emulation for debugging and programming. Equipped with a 14/20-pin DIP socket, onboard buttons, and LEDs with programmable features, the DIP sockets allow for multiple implementations of Booster Pack plug-in modules, expanding capabilities in wireless communication, displays, and more.
Featuring a high-quality 20-pin DIP socket, the device allows for easy plug-in or removal of the target MCU. It offers support for a variety of MCUs, including MSP430G2xx1, MSP430G2xx2, MSP430G2xx3, and MSP430F20xx, available in PDIP14 or PDIP20. With Energy Trace technology for ultra-low-power debugging, the design adheres to the 20-pin Launchpad development kit standard, making use of the Booster Pack plug-in module ecosystem. The device is equipped with an onboard eZ-FET debug probe and features user interaction through one button and three LEDs.
The MSP-EXP430G2 Launchpad includes an MSP430 device with up to 16 kB of flash, 512 MB of RAM, a 16 MHz CPU speed, and integrated peripherals, such as an 8-channel 10-bit ADC, timers, and serial communication interfaces (UART, I2C & SPI).
