Description
The MCP3201 is a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with on-chip sample and hold circuitry, offering high-precision conversion with features such as low differential and integral nonlinearity (DNL and INL), a flexible SPI serial interface, single-supply operation across a broad voltage range (2.7V to 5.5V), and the ability to achieve a maximum sampling rate of 100,000 samples per second at 5V or 50,000 samples per second at 2.7V, all while maintaining low power consumption.
It is designed for use in industrial settings within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and comes in various package options, including 8-pin MSOP, PDIP, TSSOP, and 150 mil SOIC. Its versatility makes it suitable for applications like sensor interfaces, process control, data acquisition, and battery-operated systems.
