Description
The MAX3232 TTL-RS232 is an integrated circuit that bridges devices operating at different voltage levels, facilitating smooth data exchange between TTL and RS232 interfaces. It can translate signals between TTL logic levels (5V) and RS232 voltage levels (-25V to +25V) with the help of its dual drivers and receivers. The RS-232 standard requires ± voltage signaling as per the TIA/EIA-232-F specification. With its built-in charge pumps, this module generates the necessary ± voltages for RS-232 communication, allowing the standard to be used over longer distances than TTL serial connections.
Based on the MAX3232 chip, the module can operate at either 3.3V or 5V, ensuring compatibility with various microcontroller setups.
