Description
The USB module integrates a transceiver and clock, eliminating the need for external resistors and featuring an internal programmable ROM for descriptors. CP2102 includes EEPROM, while CP2109 has EPROM and offers on-chip power-on reset and voltage regulation, outputting at 3.3V (CP2102) or 3.45V (CP2109). It is fully compatible with the CP2101 USB Function Controller, USB 2.0-compliant, supports full speed (12 Mbps), and includes a UART with flexible data formats and buffers.
The module provides virtual COM Port Device Drivers for Windows, Mac, and Linux and finds applications in RS-232 to USB upgrades, USB interface cables, and RS-232 adapters. It operates at a self-powered voltage range of 3.0 to 3.6V or a USB bus-powered range of 4.0 to 5.25V, packaged in a RoHS-compliant 28-pin QFN, with a temperature range of -40 to +85 °C.
