Description
The DRV8833 Motor Driver Module efficiently handles two DC motors with a steady 1.2A current (peaking at 3.2A) using input signals IN1 and IN2, offering four distinct motor control modes: clockwise (CW), counter-clockwise (CCW), short-brake, and stop. Independent control of motor outputs A and B is facilitated with PWM signals up to 100 kHz, and standby mode deactivation is achieved by setting the STBY pin high.
Operational voltages are defined with a logic supply voltage (VCC) range of 2.7V to 5.5VDC and a maximum motor supply voltage (VM) of 15VDC. The module provides an output current of up to 1.2 A per channel (or 3.2 A for a brief pulse).
The pre-assembled board includes decoupling capacitors on supply lines and breaks out pins into two 0.1″ pitch headers with input and output pins on separate sides. Standby control, diverse motor control modes, a built-in thermal shutdown, and low voltage detection are key features. The module operates at 15VDC, accommodating peak currents of 3.2A and continuous currents of 1.2A for a single channel.
