Description

The HC-05 6-pin Pin serial Bluetooth module can be used with any microcontroller.  The UART protocol makes it easy to send and receive data wirelessly. The HC-06 module is basically a slave-only device. This module gives two-way (full-duplex) wireless connectivity, which implies that it can connect through Bluetooth to most phones and PCs even with two microcontrollers like an Arduino, Node MCU ESP32, etc., and it requires breadboards and jumper wires to connect but not to other slave-only devices such as keyboards and other HC-06 modules. A master module, such as the HC-05 version that can do both master and slave, would be required to communicate with other slave devices.

Because the module communicates through USART, it is straightforward to attach to any microcontroller that supports USART. Using the command mode, we can also change the default values of the HC-05 Bluetooth module. The slave mode in HC-05 Bluetooth cannot initiate a connection to another Bluetooth device but can accept connections. The master mode can initiate a connection to other devices.

PIN Description

• VCC: Positively connect the power supply. It has a +5v DC working voltage.
• GND: Connects the cathode to the ground port of the microcontroller.
• RXD: The Bluetooth module’s receiver receives data from other devices, and the other devices’ transmitting end TXD properly.
• TXD: Transmit end, Bluetooth module delivers data to other equipment; RXD On the other end, other equipment receives data.
