Description
The DRV8833 2-Channel DC Motor Driver Module is a compact yet powerful motor control module that works with Arduino microdevices. It can control up to two DC motors and has a maximum current of 1.5A per channel, making it ideal for motor control. Onboard voltage control, reverse voltage protection, and thermal shutdown provide safe and dependable operation. It’s perfect for robotics, automation, and motor control applications since Arduino-compatible microcontrollers readily control it. The DRV8833 module provides a simple and straightforward solution for driving and controlling DC motors with the Arduino mini-board, allowing for adaptability and convenience of use in a wide range of applications. Its H-bridge configuration enables bidirectional control, allowing you to change the motor’s rotation direction easily. By utilizing Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control, you can precisely adjust the motor’s speed by manipulating the duty cycle of the input signal.
It is the perfect driver for small motors that operate at relatively low voltages because it can continuously supply up to about 1.2 A per channel and tolerate peak currents up to 2 A per channel for a short time. The DRV8833 and a FET for reverse battery protection are included on the board and other SMD components when it ships. The DRV8833 does not require an external supply of logic voltage and has a higher peak current rating (2 A per channel vs. 1.5 A). It also has an optional built-in current-limiting feature. The operating voltage range and continuous current rating of this board are very similar to those of our DRV8835 dual motor driver carrier, but the DRV8835 has a lower minimum operating voltage, an additional control interface mode, and is 0.1 smaller in each dimension.
