Description

The 3.5mm TRRS Audio Jack Breakout is a practical, user-friendly solution for integrating audio signals into your electronic projects. This compact breakout board features a 3.5mm TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) connector that is intended for use with audio jacks that include three audio channels, such as a Left/Right/Mic, or two audio channels and a video channel, as well as a ground sleeve. (Connect audio input, output, and microphone signals.)

The TRRS female connector is also compatible with the classic TRS male plug, which has two audio channels and a ground sleeve. In such instances, both the Sleeve and Ring2 will be grounded, while the Ring1 and Tip will carry the two audio channels.

Ring1 is generally responsible for the RIGHT audio channel, while Ring1 is generally responsible for the RIGHT audio channel. A microphone or video channel is generally carried by a third channel.

With its sturdy construction and four individual solder points for each terminal of the TRRS connector, this breakout board ensures reliable and secure connections with external devices or components. It is compatible with a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops, making it suitable for various applications. This has three conductors and one ground. Some devices use the extra conductor to carry a microphone (such as hands-free headsets) or a video signal (such as in some MP3/MP4 players).

Pin Connection

• SLEEVE – Ground
• RING2 –   Normally, a microphone or video channel is used. When used with a TRS jack, it will be the same as a SLEEVE.
• RING1 -Audio RIGHT channel
• TIP – Audio LEFT channel
