Description
The GUVA-S12SD UV Sensor chip is designed to detect UV radiation in sunlight and can easily connect to any microcontroller, making it suitable for a wide range of applications where monitoring UV light levels is essential. The sensor chip has a low power consumption, high sensitivity, and stability, a detection range of 240 nm to 370 nm, and a detection angle of 130 degrees. It employs a Schottky-type photosensitive diode and outputs an analog voltage proportional to the UV Index of UV light falling on the detector.
It is compatible with both 3.3V and 5V systems, making it adaptable to various electronic applications. The sensor can not only monitor the operation of devices such as black lights, tanning beds, reptile UV emitters, and germicidal sterilizers, but it can also measure the UV Index, providing valuable insights for sun exposure and necessary protective measures in accordance with the EPA’s guidelines.
This compact module offers both analog and digital output options, features integrated calibration for precise readings, and consumes low power, ensuring reliable and efficient UV light detection in various environments.
