Description
The PAM2306 is a dual step-down current-mode DC-DC converter with constant-frequency PWM control that provides stable operation and rapid response under heavy loads. It includes a power-saving Pulse-Skipping Modulation (PSM) mode for reduced quiescent current during light loads, which is ideal for extending the life of portable devices’ batteries. The converter, which supports input voltages ranging from 2.5V to 5.5V, can be used with a variety of power sources, including single Li+/Li-polymer cells, multiple alkaline/NiMH cells, and USB. It has a variety of output voltage options or adjustable settings, including 3.3V, 2.8V, 2.5V, 1.8V, 1.5V, and 1.2V. Internal power switches and synchronous rectifiers are used in the design to increase efficiency and reduce the number of external components.
