Description

The MKS OSC Stepper Motor Controller Pulse PWM Speed Reversing Module is designed as a pulse generator module used to provide signals for stepper motor drivers. To effectively control a stepper motor, it requires the accompanying driver. This module serves as an easy controller, stepper driver, stepper motor, and DC power source, creating a straightforward control platform.

It offers three selectable frequency signal options, ranging from 5.4k to 160khz, 540 to 16.6khz, and 80 to 2.4khz. It can generate both pulse and PWM signals and supports skip-stitch selection. For frequency measurement, there are two ports: PUL and common-cathode (or common anode), which can be measured.

Different stepper motor drivers may use different port designations, but they serve the same functions:

  • EN = ENA = FREE: Enable
  • PUL = PULS = CLK: Pulse
  • DIR = CW = CWW: Direction

For a common anode connection (connected with B):

  • EN+, PUL+, and DIR+ are all linked together to the common anode port.
  • EN- is connected to EN.
  • PUL- is connected to CLK.
  • DIR- is connected to DIR.

For a common cathode connection (connected with B):

  • EN-, PUL-, and DIR- are all linked together to the common cathode port.
  • EN+ is connected to EN.
  • PUL+ is connected to CLK.
  • DIR+ is connected to DIR.

These connections facilitate the effective use of the module in controlling stepper motors, allowing flexibility in setup based on common anode or common cathode configurations.
