Description

The L78 series consists of three-terminal positive voltage regulators, available in different packages, offering a variety of fixed output voltages. These regulators are versatile, useful for on-card regulation, and feature internal safeguards like current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe area protection, making them highly durable. They can deliver output currents over 1 A with proper heat sinking, and although primarily fixed voltage regulators, they can be adjusted using external components. Additionally, they provide a 2% output voltage tolerance and reliable performance across an extended temperature range.
