Description
The ATmega8 and ATmega8L are 8-bit AVR microcontrollers designed for high-security Li-ion applications. They offer self-programming flash memory, SRAM, EEPROM, over-current protection, voltage A/D conversion, coulomb counting, and debug Wire interface. They operate at 4.5V to 5.5V (up to 16MHz) and 2.7V to 5.5V (up to 8MHz) respectively, providing efficient code execution with various package options for flexibility.
These microcontrollers have advanced RISC architecture, offering 130 powerful instructions, 32 registers, and 8KB Flash memory. They support in-system programming, true read-while-write, and software security. Additional features include timers, PWM, ADC channels, SPI, USART, sleep modes, and brown-out detection, along with 23 I/O lines.
