Description
The IR Proximity Sensor is utilized for detecting objects and obstacles by emitting infrared light and monitoring the reflected light when objects approach it, finding applications in obstacle avoidance for robots, automatic door systems, parking aids, and security alarms.
It features an infrared transmitter, an IR receiver protected from ambient light, simple 3-pin connectors for easy setup, indicator LEDs, and a detection range spanning from 2cm to 30cm. This sensor can differentiate between light and dark-colored objects and outputs a low-level signal when an object is detected. It operates within a voltage range of 3.3V to 5V, and its detection range can be finely tuned using a built-in potentiometer. It is adaptable to varying ambient light conditions and can be easily assembled for applications such as obstacle avoidance, DIY projects, automatic assembly lines, object counting, and black-and-white line tracking.
