Description

The DC Power Adapter Module efficiently converts AC mains voltage to a stable DC power plug, bringing out DC voltage and ground to a male header. It offers a wide input voltage range to accommodate different AC main voltages worldwide. With multiple output voltage options, this module offers a simple, cost-effective solution to adapt any standard DC power plug to a breadboard. It allows you to use a 5V or 12V AC adapter to power your breadboard directly or drive a motor driver.

The power and ground are accessible through a 4-pin male header, with two pins for power (‘+’) and two pins for ground (‘-‘). This design allows for doubling up the jumper wires to minimize voltage drop if a higher current is drawn from the module. The power input includes a zero-ohm resistor in series, which can be replaced with a ferrite bead or diode for specific applications if needed. The onboard LED is equipped with a 2.4K series current-limiting resistor, enabling it to handle higher voltages safely.
