Description
The ESP-01 Wi-Fi Module is a compact and versatile device designed to provide wireless connectivity to various electronic projects and IoT (Internet of Things) applications. It is based on the ESP8266 microcontroller, which integrates a powerful 32-bit processor, Wi-Fi functionality, and a rich set of peripheral interfaces. The ESP 01 ESP8266 Serial WIFI Wireless Transceiver Module is a self-contained SOC with an integrated TCP/IP protocol stack that can provide access to your Wi-Fi network to any microcontroller.
It consists of a printed circuit board with an onboard ESP8266 chip and an integrated antenna. The module supports the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi standards, allowing it to connect to existing Wi-Fi networks and communicate wirelessly over the internet.
Each ESP8266 module comes pre-programmed with an AT command set firmware, which means you can just connect it to your Arduino device and receive roughly as much Wi-Fi-ability as a Wi-Fi Shield (right out of the box)! The ESP8266 module is a low-cost board with a large and rapidly increasing community. The module provides multiple general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pins that can be used to interface with sensors, actuators, and other electronic components.
Remember this:
- Because the ESP8266 Module is incapable of 5-3V logic shifting, an external Logic Level Converter is required. Please don’t power it with your 5V dev board.
- The flash disc size on this new version of the ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module has been increased from 512k to 1MB.
