Description
The DS1302 Real Time Clock Module is designed for Arduino compatibility and does not include a battery. It integrates a trickle-charge clock chip that incorporates a real-time clock/calendar and 31 bytes of static RAM. The module communicates with a microcontroller through a simple serial interface, requiring minimal pins. With the help of a precise oscillator and a small battery, the RTC module maintains accurate timekeeping (not included). In numerous applications, it provides an exact date and time.
It operates within a wide voltage range of 2.0V to 5.5V, with an operating current of less than 300nA at 2.0V. The clock module offers options for single-byte or multi-byte data transfer, and it comes in an 8-pin DIP or optional 8-pin SOIC surface mount package. It is compatible with 3.3V or 5V SCM, and it features a 3V 260mAh backup battery (non-rechargeable) for maintaining data and clock information in low-power situations. The module includes a 32.768KHz crystal oscillator and has a working temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. It has four positioning holes with a diameter of 3.1mm for easy installation compatibility.
Any time-sensitive applications like attendance systems, digital cameras, automatic sprinkler systems, or a time and calendar display benefit greatly from the RTC module.
